Since 1932, many USCS members have devoted their personal time to the pursuit of the hobby of collecting naval covers and providing a society that brings collectors together and provides services to these collectors. During the World War II years, members stepped forward as officers and directors to keep the society alive when most members were stationed around the world. It is through the efforts of all officers and directors that our society continues strong after over 70 years. Some of the officers and directors are well known names in the hobby whose cachets and covers are collected today. Other officers and directors may have contributed to the hobby in less visible but no less important ways. All USCS members should recognize these officers and directors for what they have done; the USCS would not exist today without them.
